Bad kitteh, bad!

Another weekend rolled by just like that!  How is it that 2 weekend days feel infinitely shorter than 2 weekdays?  I tried to be productive though.  I logged in the yarns in my stash in Ravelry to keep tabs on how much yarn I have hoarded.  There were some awesome yarns that I had completely forgotten about like this one:

It's Madelinetosh sock yarn.  Such a pretty yarn, I don't know how I could forget about it.  It tells me that I need to knit more, and shop less.........yeah right.  But after logging everything into Ravelry, I realize that I now have 51 types of yarn......which probably isn't too bad among serious knitters.....yeah.....so I keep telling myself.  The 51st type of yarn I bought is this beautiful thing:
Rowan kidsilk haze glamour.  It's basically kidsilk haze with some sparkles in it (I don't know if you can tell from the photos).  Ravely says it's sport weight, but it's clearly lace weight so you know.  I bought it our local yarn store, Seed Stitch Fine yarns  here in Salem MA.  I have not idea what to knit with it, some sort of scarf I suppose.  Did I have to go to a yarn tore on Friday...?  NO.  Did I have to buy this yarn.....?  NO.  So what I liked it :p

As for knitting, I didn't feel like working on the Agathe pullover this weekend.  I needed a break from the sea of stockinette stitches.  I've been itching to knit something cabley (is that a word?).  So I started on a cardigan on Monday...the day hurricane Sandy hit us (not too badly here, we came away relatively unscathed).  Work shut down after noon so I started on a cardigan that I've been wanting to knit for a while......'Twist'  I'm using Berroco ultra alpaca yarn in a charcoal grey color.  I love cables, I don't know why I don't knit more cables.  This is the progress I made so far and you can look at my Ravelry page for details here

So excited about this one!

I hope everyone remembered to change their clocks.  Technology is awesome though.  I only had to change the clocks on the stove and the car, the rest, like my iphone and cable boxes that I most frequently use to tell time, automatically adjusts, so there really was no danger of me forgetting about switching over.  However, the same cannot be said about the cats.  They clearly were not informed of the time change and proceeded to wake me up at the usual time, tapping my face for food at 5am (which would have been 6 am yesterday).  Forget about that extra hour of sleep.  I'm sure I can expect this for a few days...grrrrr.  Speaking of cats, here is a bad little kitteh..........Sundae dipping her toe in a mug with milk that I had poured, while waiting for the coffee to finish brewing.  The beeping is my coffee maker:

I know where that paw has been (litter box) and I don't like it!!!!  She is truly badass.  Have a good week everyone!

Cats are nervy little suckers but if they can get away with it they will. You can also think of it as Sundae making sure the milk is okay for you to drink.
